We start with a private tour to Knossos, and then we will visit a family traditional Olive Oil farm established in Crete in 1999. You will learn everything from the tree growing to the bottling of the oil, you will find out about extra virgin olive oil, how the olives are harvested and how the oil is produced. With this tour, you will learn the difference between First Cold Pressed and Cold Extraction, what extra virgin olive oil and what an extra virgin olive oil should taste like.

Palace of Knossos
We start with a private tour of Knossos. This complex of Minoan ruins was unearthed early 1900s. The excavated site today is huge and attracts thousands of visitors each day. Knossos is a must-see, mainly because of the palace, with its hundreds of small, interconnected chambers, which is believed to have been the Labyrinth of the legend of the Minotaur and is connected with the story of Daedalus and Icarus. Knossos, apart from being the royal family's residence, was also the administrative and religious centre for the whole region, so, do not miss the visit to Knossos once you are in Crete.

Olive Oil Tasting
After Knossos, we will reach at a traditional oil farm. The farm’s land includes hundreds of ancient olive trees cultivated since the 1900s. A friendly staff welcome you to the oil grove, guides you to the facilities and explains to you the production of oil at all stages. Finally, you will have the opportunity to try 3 different types of oil in combination with Cretan delicacies as well as the famous balsamic vinegar. The tour lasts about 4 hours
