Santorini Island Day Trip from Heraklio Port
Duration 10 hours
Santorini is an island in the southern Aegean Sea and probably the most famous island of Greece. The island was the site of one of the largest volcanic eruptions in recorded history: the Minoan eruption, which occurred about 3,600 years ago at the height of the Minoan civilisation.
The eruption left a large caldera surrounded by volcanic ash deposits hundreds of metres deep.
The departure takes place from the port of Heraklion early in the morning. From there, an approx. A 2-hour-long cruise with a high-speed boat will take you to the magnificent island of Santorini. After you arrive at the port of Santorini, we board the bus and we are on our way to our first stop of the day, the picturesque town of Oia.
On the way, you will have plenty of time to listen to the history and mythology of our island from our friendly guides.
Next stop, the capital of the island, the town of Fira. Walk around the narrow streets and take unique photos of the small white and blue houses. Return to the port of Santorini and sail back to the port of Heraklion
